Today we took the 12 question exam and I am not feeling very confident. There were a few that I know I had to get right, but there were also a few that i was just completely slumped on. Nothing I can do now except hope for the best. I like the way this website shows their method

Unit 6 Stoichiometry: Lab pt. 2
This post is a little late, but on Friday we finished out lab. The iron nail sat in the copper chloride solution for about 2 days and the part of the nail in the solution had decayed almost in half. It was really cool but sort of gross seeing the soggy copper. It helped me see and think about how chemical reactions and single replacement reactions work. This video describes the lab pretty well

Unit 6 Stoichiometry: Lab
Today we did the lab and I actually got in and understood what I was doing! It's relieving going from having almost no clue to being confident. Stoichiometry itself is not that tough it is just difficult to remember all the other things that apply. Hope it stays this understandable.

Unit 6 Stoichiometry: The Basics
So after our first lecture, I was left slightly confused but I feel pretty confident. It's pretty simple if you think of it as converting from grams to moles then back to grams again. Mrs. Frankenburg claimed that it was a subject that a lot of students had trouble with, but I'm not totally sure why. I know it'll get harder I'm just hoping I can hang on. This link describes it pretty well

Unit 5 Chemical Reactions: Exam
So today we took the chemical reaction exam and I actually don't think I did too bad. I currently have pretty rough grade, so if I did good on this test that would help immensely. Best of luck to everyone else in the class too!

Unit 5 Chemical Reactions: Lab
Yesterday we did the RedOx chemical reaction lab which was really cool. It was interesting to see the reactions take place right in front of you the moment the liquid would touch the solid metal. The only negative with the experiment was the work that tagged on with it. Although it wasn't fun, I feel that doing the equations helped me understand the equation part of RedOx much better. I found this link helpful

Unit 5 Chemical Reactions: Transfer of Electrons
Today we had an extensive lecture on transfer of electrons, or RedOx. It wasn't as bad as Mrs. Frankenburg had made it seem. Although it was long, it is not that difficult, it is just what we have been doing but with more rules and a little shorter, This link explains it pretty well.
